One of our biggest hits of 2021, The Dude Russian River Valley Pinot Noir is a side project of Mark Canepa and Neil Koch. Mark's day job is with Seguin Moreau, one of the premiere cooperages in the world, and Neil is the assistant winemaker at Lewis Cellars, one of Napa's top addresses, while also working under Philip Melka at Seavey Vineyards, Bryant Family and Vineyard 29. We love these types of projects, because you've got experience and style without the huge price tag. Sourced from two vineyards using Calera, Dijon, and Pommard clones, matched with 16 months in 35% new French oak. With striking similarities to Walter Hansel, we find a lot to love under $25!

The Wine Buyer: 93 Points

"Rich dark fruit aromas are present on the nose. The palate offers up concentrated blackberry, cherry and dark currant flavors melding on the impressive palate. The finish is delicate and refines with a touch of dark chocolate and some spice. Extremely limited with only around 500 cases produced." The Wine Buyer, 93 Points
