The most sustainable winemaking country in the world, Sidecar is a classic Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon from heritage vineyards sites in the famed Central Valley. The El Huique Estate Vineyard in the Andes foothills provides the ripe flavors and powerful red fruit notes, while the Santa Amalia Estate Vineyard in Codegua provides structure and tannins. The last stop before the ascent up the Andes Mountain, the soils are alluvial (like Napa), and the altitude is at a whopping 2,100 feet. It’s how you make a $10 Cabernet Sauvignon of intense color and aromatic concentration, with bright acidity, and restrained tannins.
