A Bottle King favorite, we love Cabernet Franc. The parent varietal to Cabernet Sauvignon (along with Sauvignon Blanc), these single varietal bottles from Argentina are the next big thing. Made famous in Bordeaux, with blends like Chateau Cheval Blanc, or in the Loire Valley: Chinon or Bourgeuil. This high elevation version packs on the flavors of wild blackberry jam, cherries and ripe strawberries. Who better to make this amazing wine than Marcelo Pelleriti! The only Latin American winemaker to obtain 100 points from Robert Parker, his day job is winemaker at the Bordeaux properties of the Pere-Verge family, Chateau Le Gay in Pomerol. It's a dead ringer for a high end Napa red and amazing for the price!
"This is very typical for cabernet franc with blackberries, violets and lavender. It’s medium-bodied with fine, creamy tannins and a beautiful finish. Just a hint of chocolate. Gorgeous to drink now, but will improve with age." James Suckling, 94 Points
