The high valley AVA rises between 1,600 and 3,000 ft. elevation in the Coastal Ranges of northeastern Lake County. Thanks to the high elevation and the cool breezes from the oldest lake in North America, it is one of the coolest appellations in Lake County. A shimmering, green-tinged platinum-yellow greets the eye while a densely fruity nose with a pear blossom top note draws you in for a sip. Candied pineapple, poached pear, and dried apricot are accentuated by Valencia orange, lemon balm and kaffir lime leaves. Pure pleasure and a bargain to boot.
"Fresh and vibrant with lemon-lime, melon, orange and nectarine flavors that give way to a hint of pineapple on a finish of tremendous depth and citrus-driven acidity." The Wine Buyer, 91 Points
"Mint and thyme aromas lead to vivid citrus, green apple and light herb flavors in this lively, complex and appetizing wine. It shows great balance, subtle minerality and a lingering finish." The Wine Enthusiast, 92 Points
