"Covenant is made from grapes grown on a 3-acre parcel of the historic Larkmead Vineyard in Napa Valley, just north of St. Helena. It is 100 percent Cabernet Sauvignon, picked at the moment when we perceive maturation to be at its peak. The wine is made exclusively from the free-run wine after fermentation and aged only in French oak barrels for approximately 18 to 20 months. It is an ageworthy wine fit for the cellar, but also is blessed with soft, plush tannins that make it easy to drink upon release."
"The 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa (450 cases produced) demonstrates Morgan’s nice touch with tannin, as they are velvety and supple rather than astringent. The wine possesses plenty of dark berry fruit, spice box, black currant, and cedary notes presented in a lush, round, generous, full-bodied format. Consume it over the next 10-15 years.
Jeff Morgan continues to fashion what may be the world’s finest kosher wines." Dec. 2009
"Dense, tight and concentrated, ending with a good dose of cedary oak. A shade sleeker, more svelte and less tannic than the Solomon Lot 70 bottling. Kosher. Best from 2013 through 2024. 450 cases made. –JL" April 2012
