You know what else is a full-bodied Cabernet Sauivignon blend from their award wining wineries in Chile? James Suckling's Wine of the Decade: Almaviva Puente Alto 2017! Almaviva set the bar for Chilean wines with nuanced, rigorously blended vintages that marry classic Bordeaux expertise with New World vitality albeit with a $125+ price tag.

James Suckling: 97 Points

"Such demure depth and focus on the nose, showing high-grade cedar wood with brooding yet fresh blackberries, cassis and cigar, as well as hints of dark olives and red chili pepper. Beautiful cabernet character here. This is a very structured and full-bodied red, imbedded with lots of vertical, fine-grained tannins now, which will take some time to soften. The volume on the palate is quite impressive. 81% cabernet sauvignon, 5% cabernet franc, 5% syrah, 5% petit verdot and 4% carmenere. Sustainable." James Suckling, 97 Points
